Yuji Yamada, friend of Daisuke Yano (Rapha's Japanese agent), has created some paintings inspired by Rapha images - very smart indeed. Yuji has a number of other paintings depicting the pro peloton as well as other sports from around the globe. One of the highlights at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during Milan Design Week was an exhibition of work by Frédérique Morrel that included several passe-murailles (trophy sculptures), visitors (life size deer sculptures) and g{hosts}, or life size human sculptures. All are handmade and covered in vintage found needlework, beautifully set off by the courtyard setting.
